PATIENT NONDISCRIMINATION AND INCLUSION POLICY
Purpose
Indiana Behavior Analysis Academy is committed to providing high-quality services to children and adolescents in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. We believe in the importance of treating every individual with dignity and respect. This Patient Nondiscrimination Policy outlines our commitment to eliminating discrimination and promoting equal access to applied behavior analysis and diagnostic testing services for all children and adolescents.
Procedures
Nondiscrimination: IBAA prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, nationality, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, disability, socio-economic statis, or any other protected characteristic.
Equal Access to Services: Every child and adolescent has the right to equal access to services provided by our clinic, regardless of personal characteristics.
Cultural Competence: Our staff is committed to maintaining cultural competence and continually strives to understand and address the diverse needs of children and adolescents from various backgrounds.
Language Access: IBAA is dedicated to overcoming language parries. We provide interpretation and translation services to ensure effective communication with children, adolescents, and their families who speak languages other than English.
Accessibility: IBAA is committed to providing accessible facilities and services for children and adolescents with disabilities, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Privacy and Confidentiality: All patient information is treated with the utmost confidentiality and in compliance with relevant laws, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Complaint Process: IBAA has established a clear and accessible process for patients and their families to file complaints related to discrimination. Complaints will be thoroughly investigated and appropriate action will be taken to address and resolve concerns.
Legal Compliance: IBAA is committed to complying with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to nondiscrimination in healthcare.
Public Awareness: IBAA communicates our commitment to nondiscrimination through various channels to ensure that patients and the public are aware of our dedication to providing inclusive services.
